The FOA's Documentation Library contains documents of two types:
The documentation is intended to provide a suite of terms of business for use with clients in a wide range of investment services and market activities, in a manner which is fully compliant with the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 and the FSA's Handbook of Rules and Guidance. The terms are not designed to provide a fully comprehensive framework for documenting every type of transaction. They do, however, include:
The documentation in the Libraries is standardised - i.e. it is designed to be used by firms without significant changes. Changes to the documentation (so that it can be adapted to the needs of a particular client, for example) can be made but should be highlighted in a separate schedule. |
