Deloitte is hosting a briefing session for FOA members on the US Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) on Friday 4th May, 8:30 to 10:00. at Athene Place, 66 Shoe Lane, London EC4A 3BQ. Registration is from 8:00 and refreshments will be provided.  Although a US regulation, FATCA imposes obligations on firms which have, or might have, a US client. This briefing will include:

an overview of FATCA;

·     implications for brokers, dealers and investment firms;

·     specific customer identifications, documentations and reporting requirements;

·     the status of intergovernmental agreements between the UK and the US;

·     Q&A session.
