The Power Trading Forum (PTF) is an FOA register for representatives of the major participants in the wholesale electricity market in the UK. The Forum is managed by an elected Power Trading Committee which is responsible for taking forward a wide range of industry issues on behalf of Forum members and with the principle object of improving the tradability of the market. Its current work programme includes enhancing credit risk management practices, assessing the viability of clearing, setting standards for a robust, reliable, transparent and credible set of reference prices, updating the GTMA and addressing UK regulatory issues.

The Power Trading Forum holds a number of open workshops and briefings each year to provide members with an opportunity of being kept up to date on matters of topical interest and to keep them informed as to progress on various Committee initiatives.
