Legal Defence Costs Insurance - Are You Covered?The FOA, as an Introducer Appointed Representative of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Limited who are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority, can introduce an insurance scheme designed specifically to provide all employees who will be classified as Approved Persons with legal cost cover up to £500,000 (which may be increased to £1 million on payment of additional premium) in respect of any examination or disciplinary process brought in connection with any normal business activity of a firm. The scheme covers not just an employee's legal defence costs and expenses, but also any costs awarded against an employee.
