This is a six-day course for the Compliance professional run by the FOA and is designed for existing in-house compliance and legal staff. Exchange Managers Course
The FOA, in association with a number of organisations, is intending to hold a four day seminar for directors and managers of exchanges which will be an exchange management course based on internationally accepted standards. The course will include: exchange governance, trading rules and practice, price formation and transparency, rights of access, management of conflicts of interest, etc. This is expected to attract a significant level of attendance. Any member firm with a particular interest in participating or presenting on this course should contact Anthony Belchambers. Please click here for fuller details
More and more brokers are now facilitating direct access for their
clients to exchange-traded derivative markets through the provision
of electronic order routing systems. These systems offer clients a number
of benefits including fast execution, low transaction costs and real-time
account management functionality. However, it's important that the clients
using these order routing systems understand the obligations and responsibilities
and some of the risks that are associated with their use. To help FOA
members raise awareness of these issues amongst their order routing
clients, the FOA has launched an on-line training course entitled "Electronic
Order Routing Systems - Explaining the responsibilities of brokers and
users". For more information click here
Energy Markets Compliance training courses
The FOA has devised two courses to help firms meet the training and competence challenge laid down by the FSA. The courses have been developed by the FOA's Energy Markets Working Group and the Power Trading Committtee with input from the FSA and ICE Futures. For details on the course please contact Patrick Thompson click here. At present there are no plans to run any further public courses but anyone wanting to discuss the possibility of holding a course in-house should contact Sarah Woolcock.
Training Discounts for FOA Members
