FSA Seminars for Senior Management

The FSA is now offering tailored seminars aimed at senior management. These are designed for senior management teams and will cover the following:

- how their commitments in terms of competence fit into the legal framework of financial service regulation;
- specific training & competence obligations;
- what roles are covered by the term "associated with regulated activities" in their firm;
- which staff in their firm will be affected; and,
- developing an action plan for future work.

The seminars are aimed at those senior managers responsible for training & competence issues, managers of Compliance and HR functions and business managers. They will be presented by FSA staff and run at the firm's own premises.

The FSA is charging a minimum charge of £4,000 for a half day workshop for up to 20 delegates with an additional charge of £175 per person for extra delegates.

Given the significant cost for a firm that only wishes to send a small number of delegates, the FOA would like to help reduce the cost for those firms by aggregating groups of members (with similar business characteristics) and hence spread the cost more widely (this should keep the cost per person to under £200).

If this is of interest to you, please contact the Training and Education Department or call +44 (0)20 7426 7262. Having assessed the demand from FOA members, we will seek to negotiate favourable terms with the FSA.
