Vacancy: Director of UK Regulation

Role: To monitor and respond to UK legislative and regulatory change and, where necessary, support the FOA's role in the EU.

To undertake a wide range of regulatory projects, manage committees and prepare position papers.

Specific Responsibilities:
UK Regulation
To be responsible for developing the FOA's position in relation to changes in UK legislation and regulation as it affects derivatives

UK Capital Regulation
To support the Company Secretary, who has primary responsibility for developing the FOA's position in relation to prudential regulation


EU Regulation
To support the Chief Executive and the Director: Public Affairs & Corporate Communications in developing the FOA's EU role and responding to and lobbying for regulatory changes

Compliance Helpline
To respond to members' queries for information/assistance on regulatory issues and, where appropriate, seeking on a discreet basis, the views of regulators/exchanges on the application/interpretation of their rules

Technical Writing
To provide articles for the FOA "Update" and other journals as appropriate and to prepare and submit position papers on UK regulation

Salary: £negotiable dependant on qualifications and experience
