	MiFID Training

The FOA has negotiated some discounts for firm's that wish to buy Eukleia Training's MiFID elearning courses.

A 15 minute MiFID Overview course is available and can be easily tailored to match your firm's MiFID impact analysis and to incorporate your own branding.

Further detailed modules on the key MiFID topics such as Suitability, Appropriateness and Client Categorisation are under development and will be available shortly.

All the courses are designed to be SCORM 1.2 compliant and should integrate onto any SCORM compliant Learning Management System.

	Exchange Managers Course 2008

The FOA, in association with a number of organisations, is intending to hold a four day seminar for directors and managers of exchanges which will be an exchange management course based on internationally accepted standards. The course will include: exchange governance, trading rules and practice, price formation and transparency, rights of access, management of conflicts of interest, etc. This is expected to attract a significant level of attendance. Any member firm with a particular interest in participating or presenting on this course should contact Anthony Belchambers.

	Risk Management course – Member feedback requested

The FOA is in discussion with Risk Audit over the provision of a one-day training course for FOA members covering such topics as:

•  Overview of key market, credit and operational risks

•  Managing client credit risk

•  Managing proprietary trading risk

•  Key operational controls

•  Information technology

•  Management of regulatory risk

•  Other operational risks

The course is primarily designed to appeal to compliance officers and risk managers working in small to medium sized firms who feel that they would benefit from an overview of the key risk areas which apply to their business and the ways in which those risks can most effectively be managed, although representatives from firms of all sizes would be welcome.
